Review: 1985 is a masterpiece of dystopian fiction that is as relevant today as it was when it was first published in 1949. George Orwell's portrayal of a totalitarian regime where every move is monitored and dissent is punished is chillingly prophetic. The novel's protagonist, Winston Smith, is a man struggling to hold onto his humanity in a world where humanity has been stripped away. This is a must-read for anyone who cares about the fate of freedom in our world.
